FAQ’s for The HealthTrainer

Why should I choose your company for CPR training?

We are the most experienced AHA instructors in the Nashville area. We have been providing CPR training with American Heart Association since 1975. We are very relaxed and fun to work with. You will not experience any stress during your training with us.  No one has ever failed one of our classes.  We have trained students ages 12-82. We work with you until you are successful.

What types of classes do you teach?

  • Basic Life Support  the CPR course required for all health professionals
    (Doctors, Nurses, EMT’s, Chiropractors, etc)
  • Heartsaver CPR-  the CPR course for everyone that is not a health professional
(day care employees, church employees, babysitters, teachers, coaches, fitness instructors, personal trainers, construction and heavy equipment operators, lawyers, moms and dads)
  • Heartsaver First Aid/CPR the course for those non health professionals wanting to learn both first aid basics and one person CPR for adults, children and infants

Do you provide Continuing Education Credits for your courses?

Yes, you will be provided with a certificate for 4 hrs of CEU credit.

What equipment will be used for the training?

The latest approved manikins that meet the 2019 American Heart Association CPR feedback device requirements. The manikins have compression depth and rate monitors so students will know exactly how hard and fast to push on the chest when performing CPR.

The Automated External Defibrillator (AED) trainers are exactly like the “real” ones you will find in your communities.

What times and where are you available to provide training?

We can provide training at your convenience in your home or office.  7am -7pm any day of the week. We find that many businesses prefer training at the beginning or end of their business days or Saturdays. We provide training to many church groups on Sundays after services.

When will I get my course completion card?

You will receive an email link to your card on the American Heart Association website within a few days after completing the CPR or First Aid Course. You may reprint your card at any time and as many times as you need during your 2 year certification period.
